A New Silent Hill on the Way From Konami

Earlier in the month video game journalists gathered together in San Francisco for Konami’s annual Gamers Night, an event where Konami reveals new line-ups, hands-on gameplay, and sometimes teaser trailers that make you cry “MOAR”.

This night was no different; attending press were rewarded with a teaser:

…A fog-enshrouded street. A man wanders, lost and unnerved by crows and a menacing growl – CAPTION: “THE SILENCE ENDS”

It’s back: Silent Hill … and that’s about ALL Konami is saying about it. Is it a new game, a continuation of the last game? C’moooooon, Konami, give up the goods!

Also surrounded in curiosity/controversy is whether Silent Hill’s series’ sound producer/composer Akira Yamaoka is working on the next SH game or not, as he is currently working on Grasshopper’s new survival horror title for EA.

The fun will be in the guessing, but here’s hoping there’s a massive ‘oh face’ inducing full-blown trailer at this year’s E3!

Fingers crossed! In the interim check out the trailer for the game that started it all below!
