Jeffrey DeMunn Joins The Walking Dead

Jeffrey DeMunn Joins The Walking DeadAdd another name to the rapidly growing list of people who have signed on to experience the chaos of Frank Darabont’s small screen envisioning of the Robert Kirkman graphic novel The Walking Dead.

FEARnet reports that Darabont film regular Jeffrey DeMunn (The Mist, The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile) has joined the previously announced Jon Bernthal and Andrew Lincoln in the adaptation of Image Comics’ zombie epic. No word yet on whom he will play, but stay tuned.

The Walking Dead is based on Robert Kirkman’s popular comic series. It chronicles the months and years following a zombie apocalypse. Frank Darabont is the project’s writer, director, and exec producer with Anne Hurd and David Alpert also exec producing. KNB will be handling the effects, and AMC has already ordered six episodes.

You're such an inspiration for the ways that I will never, ever choose to be.

  • The Butcher

    That’s PERFECT casting.

  • Terminal

I truly hope they cast someone great for Andrea, granted Andrea is on the series. She’s my favorite character next to Rick.

“We are bad guys. That means we’ve got more to do other than bullying companies. It’s fun to lead a bad man’s life.”

    • Spaceshark

I’m more nervous about casting the kids.

      • Terminal

That’s the shit about that casting. It’s going to be tough if they cast a horrific kid to play Carl. It’s difficult to convey his emotions on screen. Plus, kids age, so they’d have to cast young.

Colin Ford was good as young Sam Winchester in Supernatural. I nominate him.

  • The Buz

    That’s Dale. All the way.

    • Terminal

      I could see that.

      • Spaceshark

Somebody better impose a fisherman’s hat on him right now.

  • Terminal

VERY good character actor! I wonder who he’ll be.

  • Didn’t See It Coming

I read the script for the pilot. Not sure I agree with the changes made but it’s still good stuff. Can not wait for this show.
