Wolf Moon DVD Art and Special Features Revealed

As we mentioned several days ago, Lionsgate will be releasing Wolf Moon (formerly known as Dark Moon Rising) on DVD this June 22nd, and we’ve got a look at its box art as well as some info on the disc’s extras.

According to DVD Active the only special feature will be a commentary with writer/director Dana Mennie and star Max Ryan. Along with Ryan his toothy little tale stars quite the genre pedigree with Sid Haig, Maria Conchita Alonso, Chris Mulkey, Billy Drago, and more.

No one is safe when the moon is full. Werewolf fans will revel in this terrifying new horror film available on DVD and digital download from Lionsgate this June. Starring Max Ryan (Death Race), Chris Mulkey (Cloverfield), and Sid Haig (The Devil’s Rejects), Wolf Moon takes a gory bite into the horrific tale of a family curse that brings the unimaginable to a small town. When Amy (Ginny Weirick) falls in love with Dan (Chris Divecchio), a mysterious drifter, she thinks their love is going to be eternal bliss. But Dan has a secret passed down to him from his father (Ryan) that will unleash the bloodiest terror the town has ever seen. Their love is put to the test when town locals unite to fight the ultimate showdown between good vs. evil.

Hey, Lionsgate. Aaron Sims called. Stop ripping off his Skinwalkers concept art.

Beyond that, I saw this on Comcast On Demand last week. It did not need to be over two hours long. It was decent, but again, way too long and I couldn’t fucking stand Maria Conchita Alonso. Max Ryan, Billy Drago and Sid Haig were all cool though.

Damn. I could have sworn they were intent on ripping off Twilight, and now it’s clear they’re trying to rip off The Wolf Man.

I really have to wonder … who looked at this artwork and said to themselves, “Yep! That’s it! Perfect!” Sheesh!

It looks like someone took a picture and zoomed in and widened it for the DVD or something.
