Dinner with the Alchemist Premieres in LA Next Month

A supernatural drama set in 1900 New Orleans, Dinner with the Alchemist is having its world premiere at the 2016 Dances with Film Festival (details below). Dinner with the Alchemist weaves historical fact and imaginative storytelling into a mysterious supernatural thriller.

Director Kevin Good and emerging screenwriter Jenna St. John have created an exciting, fast-paced supernatural period film normally reserved for big budget productions. Using crafty filmmaking techniques, including using actual photos from the Library of Congress to build the world of the film, Good manages to stretch a shoestring budget into a fully realized mystical crowd pleaser.

Cast members include Dan Istrate, Dionne Audain, and Megan Graves.

Synopsis:
In the early 1900s, a wealthy alchemist, Jacques St. Germaine, travels to New Orleans to seek help from the legendary voodoo priestess Marie Laveau. When a spate of murders are uncovered, Jacques and the quarreling locals butt heads as they try to discover the identity of the killer.

Featuring a cast of characters pulled from actual police reports, Dinner with the Alchemist weaves historical fact and imaginative storytelling into a mysterious supernatural thriller.
