Saw VII 3D Wraps! New Jigsaw Flick Officially in the Can

Good news for the Jigsaw faithful out there. Despite all of the behind-the-scenes craziness, the seventh installment in this truly storied franchise has been completed.

The Saw vs. Paranormal Activity rivalry has been well documented online, and we’ve all spent our fair share of time sifting through the dirty laundry. In the end we’re sure returning director Kevin Greutert will deliver once more so there’s a lot to be excited about! Our only fear is that the added three-dimensional effect will take away from the flick itself. I guess we’ll all be finding out soon enough!

According to OfficialSaw.com:

The filming of SAW 3D – the 7th Saw movie – was completed today (Monday, April 12, 2010) at 7:28 AM Eastern Time. The last day of Principal Photography (filming) began on Sunday night at
9:21 PM Eastern Time. The final day of filming took place outdoors in Toronto, Canada. SAW 3D will be released on October 22, 2010.

You're such an inspiration for the ways that I will never, ever choose to be.

I hope there’s more romance in this one… maybe they could use some sparkling vampires and gay werewolves. Oh, and the two of them could fight over some chick with permanent PMS!

Ah well, it’s better than Twilight. Still, to put it in perspective: I can happily watch every Friday the 13th flick ever made (even Jason takes Manhattan) with no sense of pain… but the idea of taking in another Saw flick is majorly depressing.

I’m all for horror franchises, I just don’t understand how this became one.

It’s a little strange to be reading these comments. Horror fans interested in Saw again. And I won’t lie, I’m among them.

      I was actually being sarcastic.
“We are bad guys. That means we’ve got more to do other than bullying companies. It’s fun to lead a bad man’s life.”

It’s in the can? Excellent! Let’s hope it stays there for a good long time.

      Damn straight.

    Perfect for 3d.

With all of the traps that could be devised. And seeing that we’ve got two antagonists pretty much facing off each other. This definitely has great 3d potential. I just hope they wrap it all up and give us a good ending we can appreciate.
