James Franco is starring in and co-directing a new post-apocalyptic film, and the stars are lining up to join him in Future World.  This one is shaping up to be something to definitely keep an eye on so read on for the details!

From the Press Release:
Lucy Liu (pictured; Kill Bill), Method Man (Keanu), Suki Waterhouse (Insurgent), Snoop Dogg (Meet the Blacks), Margarita Levieva (The Lincoln Lawyer), and Jeffrey Wahlberg are starring alongside James Franco and Milla Jovovich in the post-apocalyptic thriller Future World, directed by Franco and Bruce Cheung and produced by Andrea Iervolino and Monika Bacardi’s AMBI Pictures and Franco’s Dark Rabbit Productions. Cheung and Jay Davis wrote the screenplay from an original story by Franco.

The movie is set in the barren landscape of a post-apocalyptic world, where a young Prince from the Oasis (one of the last known safe havens) and a robot named Ash go on a daring journey of self-discovery – one that winds through the violent and desolate world of the Wastelands.

AMBI Group, the movie development, finance, production, and distribution group owned and run by Andrea Iervolino and Monika Bacardi, is financing the film in association with the Fyzz Facility and Black Sparrow and producing with Dark Rabbit Productions. Producers are co-writer Davis, Iervolino, Bacardi, and Vince Jolivette.  AMBI Distribution, the worldwide sales arm of the AMBI Group, is handling global sales.

The film marks the second collaboration in the last year between Iervolino and Monika Bacardi’s AMBI Group and James Franco. They teamed to produce In Dubious Battle, the feature film adaption of the classic John Steinbeck novel, which Franco also directed and starred in.

Said Andrea Iervolino, “Future World is a mesmerizing story with the kind of boundry-pushing creativity unique to James. When you have the combined talents and gravitas of Milla, Lucy, Method Man, Suki, Snoop, and James interwoven through a wild story – what unfolds on screen is unreal. This is going to be a fun project that plays universally.”
