Hello, Ghouls! Are some of you European horror fans tired of seeing some very cool horror conventions being announced and then having your hopes dashed when you scroll down after seeing pictures and meet & greets of your horror heroes, but said event is taking place over the pond?

Well, whilst we have lots of love for all the wonderful work that is put into making horror conventions so cool and memorable in the US, European audiences hardly get their fare share. Guess what… that’s about to change this summer.

HorrorCon UK, based in Sheffield, England (just a three-hour drive from London), is hosting its second convention after a terrific and horrific 2015 show that saw appearances from legends such as Tom Savini, Ken Foree, Caroline Munro, and Bill Moseley. This edition, though, is set to top that – just look who’s coming to dinner…

First up is the one and only Kane Hodder, who has starred as Jason Voorhees in four of the 12 Friday the 13th movies to date. Hodder has also starred as Victor Crowley in the wickedly gory trilogy of Hatchet films amongst a slew of other memorable roles as both an actor and a stuntman.

If meeting Jason isn’t enough, how about another legendary horror icon? Pinhead anyone? Doug Bradley, most famous for the terrifying Hellraiser films, will be at HorrorCon UK; and hopefully he won’t be tearing your soul apart just yet. But he will be available for a cool meet & greet.

Scream queen Linnea Quigley, who has starred in everything from cult classic The Return of the Living Dead to Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl O’ Rama, not to mention being one of the souls to rip through Freddy Krueger’s body at the end of A Nightmare on Elm Street 4, will make her UK DEBUT!

David Naughton from An American Werewolf in London will be clawing and howling his way to Sheffield. Naughton is also remembered for his starring roles in John Carpenter’s Body Bags and was recently seen in “American Horror Story.”

Legendary horror writer Shaun Hutson will also be making a welcome appearance. Author of the classic Slugs, Hutson has been busy penning some delightful tales from the Hammer Horror vaults of late, including Twins of Evil and The Revenge of Frankenstein.

Graham Masterton, ex-Penthouse editor, will also be on hand; and there are still some guests yet to be announced. During the two-day event you’ll be able to not only meet the guests, obtain autographs, and take photos, but also chat with your heroes. As if all that weren’t enough, there will be question and answer sessions; and after you’re done hanging out with horror royalty, you’ll have the chance to watch professional FX makeup artists at work, and there will be many stalls selling horror merchandise including Blu-rays and DVD’s.

Okay, enough already! You want to go, right? Well, the lovely folk at HorrorCon UK have given Dread Central a pair of tickets to attend Sunday, July 10th. You just need to answer a very simple question (see below).
