Vicious Murders Cause The Wailing

Another flick having its premiere this month at the Cannes Film Festival is Na Hong-jin’s The Wailing, his follow-up to The Chaser and The Yellow Sea. The flick has been picked up for North American distribution by Well Go USA and is set for release on May 27th.

Synopsis:
The arrival of a mysterious stranger (Chun Woo-hee) in an otherwise quiet village coincides with a rash of vicious murders, causing panic and suspicion among the villagers. When the daughter of investigating officer Jong-Goo (Kwak Do-won) falls under the same savage spell, he calls for a shaman (Hwang Jung-min) to assist in finding the culprit.
