Colin O’Donoghue To Help Hopkins Face Off Against Demons in The Rite

Every good exorcist needs someone to lend a hand! After all, we can’t expect our hero to be the only one who deals with all that nasty projectile vomiting, head spinning, and of course mother jokes involving the old bird sucking on various things in Hell.
According to Variety Colin O’Donoghue (“The Tudors”, pictured right) is in final talks for New Line’s exorcism flick The Rite opposite Anthony Hopkins.
Based upon a book by Matt Baglio, which of course was based on “true events”, The Rite centers on a disillusioned American seminary student who attends exorcism school at the Vatican and ultimately finds his faith through encounters with demonic forces.
Mikael (1408) Hafstrom is set to direct. More soon.
