Exclusive: Mirrors 2 to Hit Home Video on …

Aja’s Mirrors was hit or miss with fans, and we can only hope that Victor Garcia’s follow-up will hit more of the marks that fans wanted it to. We’ll get the chance to judge for ourselves soon enough!

While at the Screamfest Mixer in LA, our own Sean Decker spoke to Garcia about the flick; and Victor was nice enough to tell him that Mirrors 2 will be released direct-to-DVD via 20th Century Fox on October 19, 2010.

After losing his fiancee in a car crash, for which he blames himself, suicidal Max Matheson (Nick Stahl) reluctantly takes a job as a night watchman at his father’s Mayflower Department Store. When his co-workers are killed off in gruesome and horrible ways and Max begins to see a mysterious young woman in all the store’s mirrors, desperate to communicate with him, he fears he’s losing his mind, or that he may be the next victim.

Let me guess…since they can’t get Kiefer, they’ll settle for his half-brother Angus to play the lead in “Mirrors 2”, huh?

I rented the first one hoping for a semi-decent horror film. When Kiefer started screaming and acting insane, and then pulled out a gun and shot that mirror in daylight on his front lawn…wow…I hadn’t laughed like that in a long time.
