Zombieland 2 May Begin Filming This Summer

Earlier this month, Sony Pictures was on hand at CinemaCon and teased that Zombieland 2 is headed our way at some point in the future, though they didn’t provide any specific details. The sequel has been on again, off again several times over the years, but it may finally begin production in the coming months.
As scooped by Bloody Disgusting, several different casting sites are reporting that Zombieland 2 will begin filming in Georgia this coming August. We still know virtually nothing about the project, but there are rumblings that Ruben Fleischer will return to direct. Last we heard, Dave Callaham (The Expendables) was penning the script.
No word yet on which stars/characters will be returning, as it’s way too early to tell.
In 2009’s Zombieland, a shy student trying to reach his family in Ohio, a gun-toting tough guy trying to find the last Twinkie, and a pair of sisters trying to get to an amusement park join forces to travel across a zombie-filled America.
