Confirmed! Amanda Seyfried to Star In Catherine Hardwicke’s The Girl With the Red Riding Hood

“Big Love” and Jennifer’s Body star Amanda Seyfried confirmed tonight in a red carpet interview with E! at the Oscars that she will indeed be starring in Twilight helmer Catherine Hardwicke’s The Girl With the Red Riding Hood for Warner Bros.
The Girl with the Red Riding Hood, written by David Johnson (Orphan), is a retelling of the old Red Riding Hood fairy tale that we can only hope comes sans any sparkling entities and/or underwearwolves. Oh, who are we kidding? We know that they will be there. Either way, we’ll be watching and hoping for the best.
The original fairy tales by The Brothers Grimm were deliciously dark so keep your fingers crossed that at least some of that content makes it in.
