Just a few short months after Steven Spielberg takes us into a fantastical world with The BFG, Spanish filmmaker Juan Antonio Bayona (The Orphanage) will do much the same with A Monster Calls. The second teaser trailer has arrived today, and it’s narrated by the uber-badass Liam Neeson. He will find you. He will make you watch it.
Look for the film on October 14, 2016.
The cast also includes Lewis MacDougall, Felicity Jones, Toby Kebbell, and Sigourney Weaver.
A Monster Calls was written by Patrick Ness, based on his award-winning children’s fantasy novel.
Twelve-year-old Conor (MacDougall) attempts to deal with his mother’s (Jones) illness and the bullying of his classmates by escaping into a fantastical world of monsters and fairy tales that explore courage, loss, and faith.
