Today’s the day that Issue #1 of the four-chapter graphic novel N., based on Stephen King’s short story of the same name, hits the retail market. As publisher Marvel Comics says, “No horror fan can afford to miss this alarming tale!”
Written by Marc Guggenheim with art and cover by Alex Maleev, here’s N.‘s synopsis courtesy of TFAW:
There is something unearthly and mysterious deep in Ackerman’s Field in rural Maine. There is a Stonehenge-like arrangement of seven stones with a horrifying EYE in the center. And whatever dwells there in that strange, windswept setting may have brought about the suicide of one man … and harbor death for the OCD afflicted ‘N.’, whose visits to the field have passed beyond compulsion into the realm of obsession.
Based on the chilling short story from the recent Stephen King collection, Just After Sunset, this adaptation will provide nightmares aplenty. Just keep counting the stones…keep counting…counting…
“After the thrill of working on the ‘N.’ motion comic, I am ecstatic to see Alex expand his eye-catching art and moving storytelling in this miniseries,” said Ruwan Jayatilleke, Marvel Senior Vice President, Development & Planning, Print, Animation and Digital Media. “The story will be creepy chilling entertainment for King fans and comic book fanatics alike!”
