“The Walking Dead” is known for many things: great characters, great makeup, ill-thought-out cliffhangers that enrage its fanbase, and of course, tribute zombies from our favorite movies. One of the latter was planned for this past season but never made it to the screen.
Through the glory of the Interwebs, you can now check out the Johnny zombie, based on Russell Streiner’s memorable zombie in the 1968 original Night of the Living Dead. See it below courtesy of Greg Nicotero on Instagram.
The tribute Walker that hit the cutting room floor from episode 6 of this last season… Johnny from the one and only Night of the Living Dead! After the fact I realized I should have used him in the premiere and he would have been in black and white. Damn!!
