A Revenant Joins The Vampire Diaries

I’m not sure how we missed this story the other day, but in any event, one of Hollywood’s busiest actors, David Anders, has joined the cast of The Vampire Diaries for a multi-episode arc.
The Ausiello Files on CW.com got the scoop that Anders, who has appeared most recently in recurring roles on Heroes and 24, as well as starring in indie flick The Revenant (review here), will play Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen)’s uncle, Jonathan Gilbert, who comes to Mystic Falls to “cause some trouble.”
New episodes of The Vampire Diaries (click here for the official site) return to the CW Network on March 25th, and you can expect Anders to turn up on the show in April.
