The Walking Dead Season 6 Heads to Home Video; Will Include Uncensored Negan Monologue

Many fans of “The Walking Dead” were not happy about this past Sunday night’s Season 6 finale, and rightfully so. Rather than giving us the moment they had been promising and building to, the show’s writers instead opted to leave us all hanging off a cliff, and we’ll now have to wait six months to find out who Negan killed.
How pissed are fans? Well, there’s currently a petition going around to boycott the show entirely!
No matter how annoyed and/or angered you may have been by the cliffhanger, you simply can’t deny that Season 6 of “The Walking Dead” was the very best season of the show to date, and we’re happy to report that it’s already headed home. The season will be released on Blu-ray + Digital HD and DVD on August 23.
Special features haven’t yet been announced, though Greg Nicotero did just reveal in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that both the DVD and Blu-ray releases of Season 6 will include Negan’s fully uncensored monologue from the last several minutes of the finale. You ain’t heard nothing yet, friends.
“We had to shoot two versions — we had to shoot the Blu-ray version, which had a lot of the swearing and a lot of Negan’s colorful language, and then we had to shoot the broadcast version,” said Nicotero. “So when you get the DVD or the Blu-ray version, that will have the full Negan speech from the graphic novel.”
