Special New 12 Monkeys Promo Teases The Witness

The second season of Syfy’s “12 Monkeys” premieres soon, and the network included us in a select group of sites that are premiering a new video today that teases more about the show’s most enigmatic character, “The Witness.”
It’s definitely creepy, and you’ll want to look closely as there is more to it than at first glance.
Along with the teaser we have an image gallery for Episode 2.01, “Year of the Monkey,” plus the first two minutes of said episode, a preview of what’s ahead according to the cast, and a featurette that reveals more about The Witness, who brings salvation… or destruction. It’s all a matter of perspective… and time.
About “12 Monkeys” Season 2:
As viewers of the first season learned, “12 MONKEYS” is a time-travel thriller where anything can – and will – happen, as James Cole (Aaron Stanford), along with Dr. Cassandra Railly (Amanda Schull) and a group of unlikely allies, fight against a centuries-old organization to save humanity from extinction.
And now the stakes will get even bigger.
Shortly after we left off in Season 1, we pick up in an action-packed sprint across Budapest, where Cole and Ramse (Kirk Acevedo) are forced to repair their broken friendship as they try to outrun and outsmart the Army of the 12 Monkeys. Meanwhile, in 2043, we find the unlikely team of Railly and Jones trying to protect the time machine from the mysterious faction who has taken control of the Temporal Facility.
“12 MONKEYS” Season 2 premieres on Monday, April 18th, at 9PM ET/PT and also stars Barbara Sukowa (Katarina Jones), Emily Hampshire (Jennifer Goines), and Todd Stashwick (Deacon).
