Bloody Good Trailer for Neil Marshall’s Centurion

The UK trailer for Neil Marshall’s latest film, Centurion, hit online today, and even though it’s not horror per se, we’re sure that it will still appeal to you, oh dearest reader! If only for the gore!

Based on the legend of the Ninth Legion, an army of 3,000 unstoppable Roman warriors who vanished without a trace, Centurion is the tale of their vicious conflict with a murderous adversary, the Picts. Quintus Dias (Michael Fassbender), a Roman corporal, is taken hostage by the Pict King, Gorlacon, and the Ninth are charged with bringing him home and ending Pict domination of Britain. Led by General Virilus (Dominic West) and guided by a Pict prisoner and warrior woman named Etain (Olga Kurylenko), the army marches towards enemy territory and finds itself in the midst of a perilous battle with a mysterious foe.

Look for more badassery from this one soon. In the meantime dig on the trailer and the quad poster below courtesy of IGN.

You're such an inspiration for the ways that I will never, ever choose to be.

It’s a damn shame Marshall isn’t writing and directing the new CONAN film instead of Nispel.

Marshall hasn’t failed to entertain me yet, so I’m definitely seeing this.

Looks good. Marshall owes us big after DOOMSDAY.

    That movie was gash.

    • Vanvance1

Okay, I admit after Dog Soliders and The Descent following up with Doomsday was slightly dissapointing. It’s Marshall’s version of Escape From New York, The Road Warrior etc… hopefully he has all that out of his system now.

However, now that I’ve pissed a bit on it, I have to say this: Watching ‘Doomsday’ a 2nd time on blu ray (and lossless audio in this one rocks) it is a thuroughly entertaining action flick.

    “It’s a trap!”

Now this is hugely exciting! Neil Marshall is among the most talented of directors working today.

I think I have seen The Descent 5 times. This will be a must see on day one.

P.S. I’ll write some commentary about it here after I’ve seen it in case the staff are too busy watching girlie flicks to cover it themselves. (Ahem.)

You wouldn’t be referring to Neowolf would you, or is that a jab at Valentines celebrating couples?

Thanks Vanvance! We’ll be sure to stock up on sparkling frilly pink things so we can be comfortable whilst listening to your insight. 😉 LOL
