Finally! We’ve been talking about it for a while now, but man, does it feel good to get concrete word! Please redeliver us the no nonsense badass who wouldn’t think twice about cuttin’ your throat from ear-to-ear that we got in Pitch Black!
According to Variety both Vin Diesel and director/franchise creator David Twohy are gearing up for a third installment in the Chronicles of Riddick franchise for Universal.
Even better? Insiders say the third outing will hew closer in tone to the cult hit Pitch Black and will focus on the character of Riddick as opposed to the universe he inhabits, which was the case with the critically panned second film. Does that mean an R-rated film that isn’t afraid to exhibit some balls? Lord, do we hope so.
