Lionsgate Nabs Cotton, Changes Title to Last Exorcism

Finally the Eli Roth produced possession film Cotton has gotten itself some distribution! We love us some feisty demons, damn it!

Variety reports that Lionsgate has grabbed U.S. distribution rights to The Last Exorcism formerly known as Cotton. Helmed by German director Daniel Stamm the flick stars Patrick Fabian as a troubled evangelical minister who allows his final exorcism to be filmed by a documentary crew. Hopefully they don’t sit on this one for too long. Look for more soon.

Synopsis
Disillusioned by years of defrauding poor believers of their hard-earned cash, evangelical preacher Cotton Marcus decides to put the record straight by producing a spectacular documentary.

A letter from Louis, a poor farmer begging Cotton’s help in driving the devil off his land, gives Cotton the perfect opportunity to expose the phoniness of his ministry. But then he meets Louis’ disturbed young daughter, Nell …
