Watch the New HIM Heartkiller Video

Iconic Finnish rock band HIM’s new album Screamworks: Love in Theory and Practice hit store shelves yesterday, and in honor of its release Dread Central is featuring the video for “HeartKiller”, the first single off the CD.

Screamworks was produced by Matt Squire and is HIM’s seventh full-length record over their 13-year career. In a recent interview with Metal Hammer magazine, HIM frontman Ville Valo describes his feelings about the album as follows: “I like the immediacy of it. There’s a lot of information put in short songs, and they don’t let go. That was the whole vibe for me. You should have seen me working the vocals out in the middle of the night, amongst my taxidermy owls in the tower screaming my guts out, unable to stop until 9:00 a.m. and then sleeping on a couch for two hours before starting again. So the whole process of the album is very close to that mental boner that just didn’t go away.

2 times is a little overly hostile. Sorry, it just seemed like a funny thing to say didn’t mean to offend. I have nothing against HIM but am not a particular fan. Just seemed to work together love metal and twilight just seem to sound right.

Come on in all good fun tell me its not kinda funny?

  • SelfMedicatedBlues13

Him should have done the soundtrack for twilight.

      They’re better than that.

Him have been around since the late nineites, which predated all the gay-ass emo shit that ignorant people now equate them with.

Simple fact is that Ville Valo writes great pop-metal songs. Deal with it or ignore them.

HIM is a very good band.

I hope this new record is at least better than the last one, which I didn’t like at all.
