Gremlins 3D Happening? Not According to Spielberg

A little more clarification has come down from the man himself, Steven Spielberg, about whether or not we can be expecting to see Gremlins 3D anytime in the near future.
Website Io9 caught up Gremlins scribe Chris Columbus, who put the question directly to Spielberg. Columbus says, “A few days ago I saw Steve Spielberg, and I asked him the question you just asked me, because I was reading something on the Internet, and he said, ‘Nobody’s talked to me about it either.’ So maybe it’s going on behind our backs?”
There you have it, folks. If Spielberg of all people doesn’t know about it, I really doubt we’re gonna see it happen. At least not yet. One can hope, though. After all, Ghostbusters 3 is happening now, isn’t it? Well, isn’t it?
