Rob Zombie Talks 31; MPAA Cuts Don’t Hurt the Film

As we recently learned, Rob Zombie ran into a good deal of trouble with the MPAA on his latest horror film, 31, forcing him to cut out some of the brutal violence in order to receive an “R” rating. The home video release will include the unrated cut, but has the theatrical release been butchered by the MPAA?

In a new interview with What to Watch, Zombie assures we have nothing to worry about.

Every movie I’ve ever made has been an MPAA nightmare and this one was too, but it always is,” Zombie said. “Really what you do is you get the things that they’re upset about, and you try to push it through as hard as possible without sacrificing the movie. I didn’t feel like [31] suffered from it at all.”
