In a mad dash to create “The Expendables of Horror,” a term we’re quickly growing tired of, Friday the 13th writer Victor Miller is looking to shop a TV companion show to his latest film, Rock Paper Dead. Ambitious, yes, but shouldn’t the movie come out first?

Horror Fuel reports that Miller, along with co-creator Kerry Fleming, has a plan to bring in iconic horror film actors to appear in the series in the form of cameos, guest spots, or even recurring roles.

The concept for the crossover is similar to what Marvel has done with their superhero films. What we will be doing is a first in the horror genre. The show is designed to work hand in hand with the film. The same core characters, with expanding supporting roles. Besides writing the film screenplay, Victor and I created a blueprint for the characters with story arcs that can be sustained for multiple movies and seasons of the series,” Kerry continued explaining to the site. “We have also reached out to many agents and managers of the biggest names in horror to gauge their interest in being part of this amazing project. Lately there has been talk about how some upcoming horror film is being likened to ‘The Expendables of Horror’ (Death House). If that’s the case, then RPD will be the Marvel Universe of Horror.

The feature version of Rock Paper Dead will include Ari Lehman, Kane Hodder, Dee Wallace, Bruce Davison, Michael Berryman, and a host of fresh faces. A few more fan-favorite horror icons could pop up as well. Harry Manfredini will serve as the composer for the endeavor.

Synopsis:
A new entry into the horror family from the man who brought you Friday the 13th, Victor Miller, Rock Paper Dead is the story of serial killer Peter “the Doll Maker” Harris, who returns to his ancestral family estate after being released from the state’s hospital for the criminally insane after twenty years – a “cured” man. Once inside that old house, anguished memories from a tortured childhood and the visitations from past victims shake Peter’s resolve, but it isn’t until lovely young Ashley enters his life that Peter makes a fateful decision… one that will rekindle old desires that always ended in murder.
