Saw a Devil Next for Tales of Two Sisters Director

Min-sik ChoiA Tale of Two Sisters has a lot of fans here on Dread Central, as does Oldboy, and a new production entitled Saw a Devil is bringing together the director of the former and the star of the latter. And they’re being joined by Storm Shadow from G.I. Joe!

Variety reports that South Korean filmmaker Ji-woon Kim has cast Oldboy topliner Min-sik Choi (pictured) and Korean Wave star Byung-hun Lee in his latest thriller. Lee will portray a man pursuing a psychopath, played by Choi, who killed his fiancée.

Saw the Devil, which was formerly called Night in the Subtropics, is scheduled to begin shooting in early February.

No other details are available as of yet, but considering the parties involved, you can be sure we’ll be keeping our eyes open for more.

Awesome. Kim Ji-Woon is a master film-maker in my opinion. And if anyone hasn’t seen A BITTERSWEET LIFE yet then they should do so as soon as possible.
