As Dread Central’s resident awards show junkie, it is my mission to make sure our like-minded readers don’t miss out on any opportunity to participate in such events if they are so inclined. On tap for today: the ShoWest 2009 Fan Choice Award. Along with voting for the movie of your choice, you can enter Fandango’s Fan Choice Sweepstakes to win a trip to the star-studded show in Las Vegas.
ShoWest, which runs March 15-18, 2010, is the most prestigious and longest running event exclusively for the cinema exhibition and distribution community. This is the second year Fandango has sponsored the Fan Choice Award in conjunction with the conference, and nominees include such genre fare as The Twilight Saga: New Moon, 2012, and Monsters vs. Aliens along with sci-fi and fantasy offerings Avatar, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Star Trek, and lots more. In addition, Fandango is offering sweepstakes entrants two roundtrip tickets to Las Vegas, a three-night stay at Paris Hotel, two VIP green room tickets for the awards show, and two VIP tickets to the awards and banquet to be held March 18th.
