A Place You DON’T Wanna Go — 5150 Elm’s Way

We don’t know about you guys, but when we’re told to avoid certain places, instead of using our brains and staying away, we always want to go there and check them out. It’s not like we watch a bunch of horror movies that should have taught us differently by now, is it?

A new trailer for the French-Canadian horror thriller entitled 5150 Elm’s Way (5150, Rue des Ormes) dropped today, and we have to say it’s looking pretty interesting. Check it out below. 5150 Elm’s Way, directed by Éric Tessier (Evil Words), is out now in Canadian and UK theatres.

5150 Elm’s Way is located at the end of a quiet street in a small town. When Yannick fell off his bike, he knocked at the door of the Beaulieu residence so he could clean the blood off his hands. But Jack Beaulieu and his family had other plans for Ian. Beaulieu is a righteous psychopath and fanatic chess player who wants to rid the world of evil. And even though Ian has done nothing wrong, he is beaten, tortured, and tormented before Beaulieu makes him an offer: Win at chess and he is free to go. And so Ian is now a pawn in Beaulieu ‘s game … a game in which he will either lose his mind or his life.

A new flick from the director of EVIL WORDS? I’m so in!

In the trailer it says from the director of Evil Words, but it is also from the same writer (the book it’s based on).

The only annoyance so far with the trailer for me is that the character is named Yannick in the French that is spoken but subbed as Ian… ?

I need to get me these books.
