Godzilla Resurgence – First Images of the New Monster

A brand new Godzilla film is headed our way this summer, courtesy of legendary Japanese company Toho, and we’ve thus far seen a couple little teases of the action. We’ve got something a little more substantial for you today, as behind-the-scenes shots of the monster have surfaced.
Check out the newly redesigned Kaiju below, which is promised to be the scariest – and largest – incarnation of the iconic character to date!
Toho’s Godzilla Resurgence, the 29th Japanese film featuring the King of the Monsters, is directed by Attack on Titan‘s Hideaki Anno and Shinji Higuchi, written by Hideaki Anno, and stars Hiroki Hasegawa, Yutaka Takenouchi, and Satomi Ishihara.

Godzilla Resurgence takes place in modern-day Japan, which has suffered an attack by the Big G. The United States soon gets involved in the chaos to help the Land of the Rising Sun secure its existence.
