Trailer Teases Upcoming Dante’s Inferno Fan Film

Released in 2010, the action-adventure video game Dante’s Inferno was based on the first canticle of Dante Alighieri’s epic poem Divine Comedy, and in it you were tasked with taking Dante through the nine circles of Hell. Sounds like the makings for a pretty awesome film, doesn’t it?
Universal Studios is indeed developing a live-action film inspired by the game, and last we heard, Evil Dead remake director Fede Alvarez was attached to direct. That sounds like music to our ears, though we haven’t heard a peep about the project in some time. And fans are getting antsy.
One of those fans, Tal Peleg, has taken matters into his own hands, and in the third quarter of next year he’s planning to unleash fan film Dante’s Redemption: Act I. We’ve still got a good deal of waiting to do, but before 2015 comes to a close, Peleg wanted to give us all our first sneak peek.
