Christine. Maximum Overdrive. The Hearse. When it comes to horror movies about cars, there may be some good options, but there simply aren’t enough. The new Russian flick The Route Is Built looks to be another great entry in a sadly ignored sub-genre.
It follows a couple who buy a car, unaware that the previous owner murdered his wife and hid her body in the trunk, where her spirit has been captive ever since.
I couldn’t find a whole lot of additional information about this film online, but director Oleg Assadulin is known for his captive horror The Phobos, which is definitely worth checking out.
