2010 Emmy Nominations Include a Few Horror Favorites

Per usual, horror didn’t make a particularly strong showing during the announcement of the nominees for 2010 Emmys, but a couple of fan favorites made the cut once again and several stars that we call our own were recognized as well.

Here’s a list of the horror-tinged shows that were recognized (with a few others whose fanbase includes a lot of our readers and staff members thrown in for good measure).

For the full rundown of all the talented nominees, visit the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, and be sure to watch the live broadcast on NBC on Sunday, August 29th at 8:00 PM ET/5:00 PM PT.

For what was listed and for who was in each most of my votes goes to Dexter. I love True Blood but I think in certain areas Dexter just out does True Blood.

  • GJW

I have only seen season 1 and 2 of Dexter. I got through 6-7 episodes of True Blood season 1 and became extremely BORED with it. I don’t get its popularity at all. Supernatural is SO much better than both, and I do like Dexter, plan on seeing the other seasons, but Supernatural is just unbelievable for a tv series!!

As much as I like Dexter & True Blood, Supernatural without question destroyed em both this year (hell, it was even better Lost). It’s just a shame nobody ever gives that show a chance.

    • The Woman In Black

Agree completely. At least they’ve shown up in the People’s Choice nominations and even won this year! Sometimes the people do know best.
