Spend 127 Hours with Danny Boyle

Don’t get too excited, dear reader … this has nothing to do with 28 Days Later or even 28 Weeks Later. In fact Danny Boyle’s next film is a completely different beast altogether.
According to Variety Fox Searchlight and Danny Boyle have firmed plans to make their next collaboration 127 Hours, a film that details the harrowing true story of mountaineer Aron Ralston.
Ralston’s right forearm got pinned for nearly five days under a boulder during a climb in Utah in May 2003. He used a dull knife to amputate the limb, then scaled a 65-foot sheer wall and hiked out before running into a family that gave him water and food. He was finally rescued by helicopter.
While certainly not what we’d call horror, that situation certainly is horrific. And it’s always good for us to keep tabs on Boyle. You never know what the guy will come up with next!
Boyle will direct the film with production to begin next year for a late 2010 release.
