More Paranormal Activity Sequel Talk

Wanna talk scary? Never mind being haunted by a demonic force that will corner you wherever you are. We’re talking real horror that could come in the form of a completely unnecessary sequel.
According to The Hollywood Reporter Viacom CEO Philippe Dauman said the movie has been one of those surprise hits that comes along only rarely.
Given that a follow-up release wouldn’t have the same element of surprise as “Paranormal,” it will be key to craft a smart approach to a sequel, he said. “Our team will come up with the right creative and marketing approach,” he told analysts.
While I’m not ready to write this off as a bad idea yet — honestly, it’s going to depend on the principals involved as well as the approach — I would hope someone will go back and take a good long look at Blair Witch 2: Book of Shadows.
