Sound and music are key components when making an effective horror project, and Fear, Inc. has scored itself a key composer to bring the spooky!
From the Press Release:
Dustin Morgan, frontman of LA-based orchestral rock band ARCHER BLACK, has been tapped to score the highly anticipated black comedy thriller FEAR, INC.
FEAR, INC. is directed by Vincent Masciale and written by Luke Barnett. The duo are best known for their work with the website “Funny or Die.” The film stars Lucas Neff (“Raising Hope,” AMC’s upcoming “Preacher”), Caitlin Stasey (ALL CHEERLEADERS DIE, “Reign”), Chris Marquette (THE GIRL NEXT DOOR, JUST FRIENDS), Stephanie Drake (“Mad Men”), and Mark Moses (“Mad Men,” “Homeland”). The supporting cast is rounded out with Eric Lange (“Narcos”), Richard Riehle (OFFICE SPACE), Naomi Grossman (“American Horror Story”), Ashlynn Yennie (THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE I&II), David Ury (“Breaking Bad”), Patrick Renna (THE SANDLOT), and Emmy Award winner Leslie Jordan (“American Horror Story”).
FEAR, INC. follows a company of degenerates who can be hired for a premium to bring your greatest fears to life. But when horror junkie Joe Foster’s customized scare seemingly begins, he and his friends must decide if this company is there to scare them or make them pawns in their own sick game.
“Archer Black is such a interesting combination of original style and traditional orchestration; we’re excited to have Dustin on board to create an unconventional and raw score for the film,” said Masciale.
Archer Black is cutting-edge orchestral indie rock. The Los Angeles-based outfit often appears on stage with a dozen or more musicians, balancing intricate orchestrations with brazen, emotional performances. All the while, this juggernaut is held together by the charisma of vocalist/composer Dustin Morgan. Their debut album, Forgiveness Is a Weapon, released to critical acclaim in 2012, and their follow up album, Let It Burn, was released in 2014. FEAR, INC. marks Morgan’s first foray into scoring for picture.
