The wonderfully sick mind behind Frontière(s), Xavier Gens, is set to return to the genre (sort of) for The Fallout, a post-apocalyptic thriller set in a futuristic New York City. Unlike his adaptation of the Eidos video game Hitman, this one isn’t an adaptation of the long-running RPG series of the same name.
Screen Daily reports that producer Ross Dinerstein stated, “Xavier’s vision for this film is extraordinary. He brings a visual edge to this fascinating exploration of the human condition.”
The film is a mixture of Assault on Precinct 13 and Lord of the Flies. “With a collective of ‘End of the World’ movies hitting the theatres presently, this film will undoubtedly stand out like a ravenous Pit Bull in a school playground… brace yourselves cause this film has a serious bite to it!” said producer Darryn Welch.
