Three New House of the Devil Posters

Just the other night a couple of Dread Central staffers got together to watch Ti West’s The House of the Devil (review here), and if we didn’t know any better, we would have sworn we were watching a long lost flick from the late 70’s/early 80’s. It’s just that authentic. As are the three new retro posters that just landed in our mailbox.

House of the Devil is a satanic thriller set in the 1980’s starring Jocelin Donahue, indie ingénue Greta Gerwig, Tom Noonan, Mary Woronov, AJ Bowen, and Dee Wallace-Stone.

Sam (Donahue) is a pretty college sophomore, so desperate to earn some cash for a deposit on an apartment that she accepts a babysitting job even after she finds out there is no baby. Mr. and Mrs. Ulman (Noonan and Woronov) are the older couple who lure Sam out to their creaky Victorian mansion deep in the woods, just in time for a total lunar eclipse. Megan (Gerwig) is Sam’s best friend, who gives her a ride out to the house and reluctantly leaves her there despite suspecting that something is amiss. Victor (Bowen) at first seems like just a creepy guy lurking around the house but quickly makes it clear that Sam will end this night in a bloody fight for her life…

House of the Devil (official site here) is available On Demand right now (including via Amazon), and will be hitting select theatres on October 30th.

These posters are awesomely retro in design. I can’t wait to see this. Plus, it’s always awesome to see Tom Noonan on screen.

These are excellent. I actually like the one I’ve seen earlier with the bold serif font and a house. It’s simple but has a nice retro feel to it. But I do like these as well, all three have a great look and feel to them.
