Nacho Cerda’s beautifully haunting feature-length debut, The Abandoned (review), is coming to theaters across the country this Friday, February 23rd. You need to see it if you missed it during the After Dark HorrorFest.
Of course the promotion machine for the movie has been pretty good-sized (as if the ads all over the site didn’t give that away), but even though there are not a lot of elements in this movie that would scare censors away, they still managed to cut a TV spot that the MPAA stamped a big “NO” on. Is it because of the babies crying? The pigs eating … something? The blood?
We may never know why, but the fact is that this spot, much like the characters in the film, has been abandoned by the censors. You still want to see it though, right? Hell yeah you do! So then click here to see the banned TV spot for The Abandoned and see if you can figure out why it bothered those censors so damn much!
More good stuff is available to you at the official site for The Abandoned so be sure to check it out. And get your asses out there next Friday to see it so we can have another quality successful horror film to brag about!
