It was announced earlier this year that Jordan Peele will be writing and directing a horror film called Get Out for Blumhouse Productions, but that’s not the only genre project on the funnyman’s plate. He’s also teaming with comedy partner Keegan Michael-Key and director Henry Selick on an animated feature. Read on for all the details!

As reported by Variety, the “Key and Peele” stars are developing stop-motion film Wendell and Wild with Selick, the director of animated favorites like The Nightmare Before Christmas and Coraline. Selick will co-write with Peele and will direct and produce along with Gotham Group.

Wendell and Wild, based on an original story by Selick, is a comedy about two scheming demon brothers who must face their arch-nemesis, the demon-dusting nun Sister Helly, and her two acolytes, the Goth teens Kat and Raoul.

Selick, Key, and Peele are currently discussing the creative details, says Key and Peele’s manager Joel Zadak of Principato-Young. “It is not set up yet with a buyer, but the entire team is passionate about the direction,” he says.
