As if it weren’t cool enough that Eric Red is making a return to the director’s chair, his first outing behind the camera since the woefully underrated Bad Moon (a film I plan on mentioning as many times as I can when discussing Red’s career), he’s beginning to amass a badass cast for it, too.
The folks over at Arrow in the Head (who else?) got word from the Redman himself today that the luscious, curvaceous Famke Janssen (X-Men) has joined the cast of 100 Feet, which Red wrote as well. She’s jumped into the lead role of Marnie Watson, a woman who is granted early release from prison where she was serving time for killing her husband, a violent NYC cop, on the condition that she wear an electronic anklet at all times. If she goes more than 100 feet from her home she will go back to prison, a situation that causes many issues when she realizes that the malevolent ghost of her husband is still in the house. Whoops!
Shooting on 100 Feet is scheduled to start in April, with shoots in both Brooklyn, NY and Budapest, Hungary (!?). Keep your eyeballs both here and on Arrow in the Head for more casting as it comes down!
Welcome Red back with open tentacles in our forums!
