Neve Campbell Back for Scream 4 and More Horror From Dimension

A Reboot to Scream AboutHow do you apply a bandage to an ailing company? Simple, you go back to what made it strong in the first place, your franchise titles. At least that’s the Weinsteins’ latest formula for success. Starting with Scream 4 and the now returning to the series Neve Campbell.

According to Variety Scream 4 will start production in April or May as the first of a new trilogy, and the company is talking to Wes Craven to direct, Bob Weinstein reports. Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, and David Arquette will star.

But the news doesn’t end there. In addition, the company wants to shoot Halloween III in 3D, aiming to release it in October 2010. (A Halloween movie on Halloween? Somebody pinch us!) We’ll also be seeing yet another remake of Children of the Corn.

I’m heading back to my franchise films,” Weinstein declared, citing plans to shoot sequels to Hellraiser and Scanners in 3D. Also on the slate are Short Circuit and American Werewolf in London. Weinstein added, “These films are our strength, and we are committed to doing them in style.”

It’s gonna be an interesting year, folks. Hang tight!

I’m looking forward to another SCREAM!! SCREAM was geat. Although I didn’t enjoy II and III as much, they were still good. I wouldn’t mind a 4th.

There can only be one thing better than Scream 1, Scream 2, and Scream 3. Yes, its time to stop making them. So, is that the plan? Noooooo, it’s not the plan. They want to make one more (Scream 4). All right, go ahead and make it… but I’m not going. casino online

You know, I can see where Bob is coming from. A film companys’ strength really does come from taking classic 80’s flicks and making uneccessary, shitty remakes. God bless you, Weinstein Brothers.
