MegaFault Trailer Debuts Online

Not sure why Foy hasn’t sent over a story on this yet, but in the interest of getting it in front of our readers’ eyes asap, we’re dropping everything to present, courtesy of The Asylum, MegaFault, the studio’s very first original production for the Syfy network.

MTV got the exclusive first look at the trailer for MegaFault, starring none other than Brittany Murphy and Eriq La Salle. The duo play a seismologist and a miner, respectively, racing to stop a giant earthquake that threatens to tear the world in half.

Syfy will be premiering the film on October 10, 2009 at 9 pm (8 pm Central). Per Paul Bales’ News & Production Blog on The Asylum’s website, “MegaFault is our biggest budget film to date and has more action and special effects than Julie and Julia. And if that’s not enough to get you to tune in, the film was directed by David Michael Latt, written by Yours Truly, and it isn’t a rip-off of any other movie … except Julie and Julia.

Along with Murphy and La Salle, MegaFault co-stars Bruce Davison and Justin Hartley. The DVD and Blu-ray street on November 24, 2009. Pre-order your copy below!

  1. Did Brittany Murphy lose a bet? She’s been showing up in the most obscure crap recently. Too bad, cuz given a good director, she can act.
