Think you’ve got what it takes to make it through one of the most intense haunted houses in the United States? If so, you’ll need to sign a legal waiver before the organizers will even let you through the door. Even then, you’ll need to remember the safe word in case things get too crazy once you’re in the middle of the madness. In other words, this isn’t for the faint of heart.

According to Greg Lee over at ABC 7 News, Robbie and Heather Luther’s the 17th Door is so balls-out insane that you’ll have to sign a waiver that essentially says you can’t sue anyone associated with the haunted house should you suffer any psychological scars as a result. Should you discover that you can’t handle the craziness 17th Door has to offer, you’ll have to scream “mercy.” Once you’re in, all doors are locked. Thus far, 350 people have tapped out before the end.

Here’s the setup: You and a handful of other folks will spend around one minute in 17 different rooms, each one more terrifying than the last. It might sound easy enough on paper, but the 17th Door team has gone to great lengths to make this experience as terrifying as humanly possible. At least 800 people a night trek to this haunted house in Tustin, California, and chances are more will take the challenge before the Halloween season is done. Make sure your life insurance is paid up.
