Pumpkinhead fans will either be excited or dismayed by the movie monster’s latest creature feature set to premiere this Saturday night on the Sci-Fi Channel.
Helmed by House of the Dead 2 director Michael Hurst and filmed in Romania back-to-back with Pumpkinhead: Ashes to Ashes (which debuted on the Sci-Fi Channel last year and will be hitting DVD shelves on March 27th), Pumpkinhead: Blood Feud – originally shot under the goofy title Pumpkinhead: Love Hurts – combines Romeo & Juliet with the Hatfields & the McCoys by having young lovers from rival backwoods families falling in love, but the death of the Romeo’s sister leads him to conjure up Pumpkinhead to seek vengeance on the other clan once and for all. Look for Lance Henriksen to cash an easy paycheck by briefly cameoing as the ghost of his character from the original 1989 Pumpkinhead flick.
Pumpkinhead: Blood Feud premieres on the Sci-Fi Channel Saturday night at 9/8 Central with a repeat performance four hours later and another encore on Thursday, February 15th at 9/8 Central. Check out the trailer for the sequel over on SciFi’s official site.
