Steve Zahn Enlists in the War for the Planet of the Apes

More casting news is coming in for War for the Planet of the Apes as Variety is now reporting that Steve Zahn has come on board the eighth film in the franchise — joining Woody Harrelson and Gabriel Chavarria.
Matt Reeves, who directed 2014’s Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, is returning to helm from a script by Mark Bomback. Chernin Entertainment, Dylan Clark, Rick Jaffa, and Amanda Silver are producing the film, which begins shooting this fall in Vancouver.
The storyline is being kept under wraps. Zahn will play an ape and Harrelson will play a character called the Colonel.
War for the Planet of the Apes will be released on July 14, 2017.
