After the fantastic Wanted (I know that everyone will probably disagree with me on that), Timur Bekmambetov’s career unfortunately has been winding down. Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Vampire was meh. The third World of Watches never happened, and Ben-Hur is yet another remake that doesn’t need to happen.
However, the latest film that he’s producing, I Am Dragon, seems like it could be an instant classic. The trailer serves as a reminder that huge production values are not limited to Hollywood and Asian territories. Visually it looks amazing.
The plot concerns a young man and woman who fall in love, but the guy is secretly a dragon or something. I don’t know… there doesn’t seem to be a whole lot of info about the plot available right now.
I Am Dragon will be released in Russia this year.
