Artists Recreate Iconic Horror Posters Out of Clay

Based out of Brinklow, Warwickshire (that’s in England), the duo of Lizzie Campbell and Ian Usher collectively refer to themselves as Clay Disarray, putting their talents to use by creating things like portraits and cake toppers. And then there’s their Polymer Posters series, which we adore.

As it turns out, the artists are big horror fans, and many of the clay creations in the series are modeled after some of the genre’s best movies – both old and new. Using clay and only clay, Campbell recreates the posters for those films, which are then beautifully photographed by Usher.

My time at art school was so useful for experimenting with various creative mediums, and I finally stumbled across the amazingness of polymer clay in the summer of 2013,” says Campbell. “I instinctively knew it was right for me, and I made the decision to work pretty much exclusively with the material very shortly afterwards.”

Check out a gallery of the awesome horror posters below, ranging from Halloween III to The Babadook, and see more over on the Clay Disarray website – where select prints can be purchased!
