One sub-genre that has been seriously under-represented is the horror western, but that changes October 23rd when Bone Tomahawk gets a theatrical, VOD, and iTunes release courtesy of RLJ Entertainment.
To help you get ready for it, they’ve just released a new batch of character posters so spend a little time getting to know The Back-Up Deputy, The Town Doctor, The Cowboy, An Armed Gentleman, and The Law.
Written and directed by S. Craig Zahler, Bone Tomahawk stars Kurt Russell, Patrick Wilson, Matthew Fox, Richard Jenkins, Lili Simmons, David Arquette, and Sid Haig.
Synopsis:
When a group of cannibal savages kidnaps settlers from the small town of Bright Hope, an unlikely team of gunslingers, led by Sheriff Franklin Hunt (Kurt Russell), sets out to bring them home. But their enemy is more ruthless than anyone could have imagined, putting their mission – and survival itself – in serious jeopardy.
