You gotta love indie games for putting you in control of characters and situations that big studios would never touch. How many AAA games have you robbing the house of a frail old woman? Call of Duty it ain’t.
DISTRAINT comes from Jesse Makkonen, the genius behind Silence of the Sleep, and served as a side project while he completed his next big game, The Human Gallery. So don’t expect something that will last very long, but instead look at it as a cheap, quick and fun escape from reality this Halloween.
DISTRAINT will be released on Steam on October 21st.
Synopsis
DISTRAINT is an upcoming 2D psychological horror adventure game for PC which will be released at Halloween.
You take the role of an ambitious young man named Price.
In order to gain a partnership from a famous company Price seizes a property of an old woman.
In that very moment he finds out he sold his humanity rather cheap.
This is his story and his regrets…
DISTRAINT is a horror-novel style of game. It is dark and grim but also features some black humor.
The story progresses fast which allows a lot of different settings and scenarios.
DISTRAINT is aimed to be around two hours of fun! Oh, and since the game won’t be very long the price tag will also be low and well worth it!
The gameplay is simple but effective: You move left and right, illuminate the way with your lantern and solve puzzles to progress through the story.
