I hate it when we follow a movie from its inception, or at least the first time we hear about it, to its release, only for it to get dumped direct-to-DVD by a company who’s not exactly known for their high-quality output.
Such is the case for Lance Dreesen’s Big Bad Wolf, a werewolf film that showed a lot of promise based on what we’ve seen via the filmmakers. Though I guess any deal is better than none, it still bugged me when Fangoria announced that Screen Media Films, known for releasing films like Blood Gnome and Evil Remains, would be putting the disc out this June.
Does that mean the movie’s not very good, or did Screen Media make a smart decision like they did when they released Jeff Lieberman’s Satan’s Little Helper? I guess we’ll find out in a few months. For now, dig the cover art on your right!
